John Wilkinson
LDSRCS (Birm 1981)
John has been the principal dentist at Shaw Village Dental Practice since1998. Before that he worked in Cheltenham for five years, and then in Hungerford and Marlborough for a further five years before moving to West Swindon. John loves all areas of general dentistry. He has a particular interest in endodontics (root canal treatment) and cosmetic composite bonding.

Brigitte Wilkinson
BDS (Birm 1980) LF Hom (Dent)
As well as being skilled in all aspects of general dentistry, Brigitte has a keen interest in homeopathy and oral medicine as well as cosmetic dentistry. Before joining Shaw Village, Brigitte gained valuable experience working first at Birmingham Dental Hospital and then as a Community Dental Officer in Wiltshire.

Bob Bridgeman
BDS (Birm 1980)
Bob has over 25 years experience in general dentistry. Before coming to Shaw Village in 2002, he spent many years working in dental practices around Bedfordshire and Oxfordshire.

Julie Oakland
EDH (Guys 1986)
Julie is passionate about helping patients to achieve and maintain the best oral health possible. She also has a keen interest in supporting orthodontic patients to look after their teeth during a course of treatment. As well as working for many years as a hygienist Julie previously worked as a dental nurse in Devon before moving to this area after qualifying in 1986. Julie has been working with us for 15 years. She has a strong interest in continuous professional development and attends regular training courses to ensure she is able to offer her patients the best possible care.

Tanya Withers
EDH (Birm 2002)
Tanya moved to this area after qualifying in 2002. Tanya shares Julie’s enthusiasm for promoting good oral health habits and enjoys working with patients to help keep their teeth and gums healthy.

Helen Kiernan-Hamilton
NEBDN 2003
Helen initially began her dental nursing career in 1984. She took some time out to have a family and returned to work in 1999. She has been at the practice since 2005 and enjoys making sure that patients’ visits are as comfortable and relaxed as possible.

Stella Collier
NEBDN 1987
Stella is very dedicated and with 25 years experience she is a great asset to our team. Stella and John have worked together for almost 12 years. Stella provides excellent support to both John and Bob.

Sarah Flay
Sarah has been at the practice for 14 years. She enjoys providing first class customer services to all our patients.

Christine Cook
Christine joined the team in 2007 and brings with her a wealth of experience from previous roles including two managerial positions, working at Lydiard Park and for the Red Cross.

Alison Hall
(BSc 1983, DMS 1991 Dip Management Studies)
Alison has experience in several business areas including personnel, marketing, sales and administration. She has been at the practice since 2000 and does a great job in making sure the practice runs smoothly.
